I feel it has strong set of drum sounds. The bass drums are a little light as far getting a really deep thump. But it can be achieved. In fact recently there were a lot discussions in this group about how to get great drum sounds. I tried mine at a Guitar Center as well and its volume never was loud enough. They had it patch into a set of passive monitors. If you can listen to the soundsets inside headphones the next time you visit G.C., it would help you decide if the sounds are to your liking. I got my XL7 when they offered the free expansion ROM, so I have more options than the standard box now. I am thinking as a Christmas gift to myself, to get even more ROM. -greg --- papichulo1172 <puli6912@...> wrote: > Thank you for replying so quickly! > > When I tried out the MP-7 command station in Guitar > Center, I played > with it for a couple of hours.
