Here's the scoop. For your setup, you'll need the feature "Local on/off select". Currently this is not implemented in the XL-7. The Good news is, it will be including in our next major release scheduled for mid November. Once you have this feature, you'll need to set it to Local off. This will shut of the keypads to the internal engine and only allow the pads data to go out of the MIDI outs. The notes will then pass through your sequencer and back into the XL-7 playing everything correctly. Right now you have pad data going the internal synth and the same exact data passing through your sequencer back to your Xl-7. It should sound like a flange when you play standard presets, but when playing presets with arps, cancellation will occur. Work around for now. When you are using the Xl-7 with a software sequncer, use another controller (keyboard) to play/record the the Xl-7 presets. Or, when recording unplug the MIDI in cable and reconnect when you playback. sean at e-mu / ensoniq b0nez6969@... wrote: > > Ya you got it Aaron.. Thats what it is. But now what sucks.
