Nicely trawled, Erik... :-) You only need to set tracks to INT if their MIDI channel(s) match those of the slaves. I run something like 12 tracks of patterns, INT mode, and then four empty tracks of EXT, so that I can switch between four control channels for playing other gear or systems.
