Re: expand with rom chips....

2002-10-03 by S V G

The Proteus Pop Collection (otherwise known as the P-Rom) has 5 banks, not 4. It's been
several months since I sold my Proteus 2000, though I don't remember it having 8 banks??? Perhaps
you're right though.

< Yes, the Proteus Pop Collection (sounds from the P2500) would be perfect.
< Note: it differs from the P2k's 'Composer' ROM by having only four banks of
< presets (Composer = 8), however they're different with many taking advantage
< of the arps/beats not natively present in the the P2k. The only similarity
< between the P2k and P2500 ROMs is the raw instrument waveform list.

< Also, check out the "Sounds of the ZR"

The P-Rom has some great electric pianos (not to mention lots of other stuff). Probably the
most varied Rom out there. The Sounds of the ZR is also great... if only for the fantastic piano
sounds. And I am down on the Kurzweil piano sound even!
