For the record, E-Loader 1.0 launches perfectly on my G4 Mac 450MHz, v9.2.2, OMS 2.3.8, Emagic AMT8 (USB MIDI Interface). Admittedly, I don't own a XL-7 and have only used E-Loader for OS updates to my P2k, but it works, and I can call up all the E-Loader utilities. So for OS updates at least, E-Loader works with my USB MIDI interface. Please feel free to ask re any specific configuration (of which I haven't done anything fancy). This means that you have to be using a mac with a serial port.
