I assumed the master volume knob was hardware; apparently not, since it's buggy. I'm running a lot of tracks all with MIDI volume at zero, but when I turn the master volume knob to zero (more accurately, on the zero/nonzero transition) I get all sorts of loud bleeps, spikes and overloads, sometimes even what sound like stuck notes. The problem mostly (but not always) happens when the internal sequencer is running. I found this out while trying to work round other bugs (like unpleasant sporadic filter clicks on some notes, and really bad sequencer timing). I could probably narrow most of these bugs down further, and will do so once I know that E-mu are going to continue doing software revisions; otherwise, there's no real point. -- nick rothwell -- composition, systems, performance -- http://www.cassiel.com
