Auditions are actual short sequences. It is possible to "capture" an audition into a pattern using Realtime Mode on the XL for use and or editing. The method is a little primative, but it works! First of all, Auditions transmit to the MIDI out jacks, but not to the internal sequencer, so, connect a MIDI cable from either MIDI OUT to the MIDI IN. Then, call up an empty pattern, unless you are adding to an existing pattern. Set up the preset (whose Audition you want to capture on the desired MIDI channel. Set up for Realtime recording on the track # that matches the desired channel. (You may want to listen to the Audition to make sure set the pattern length to get the whole pattern.)Press play to start the sequencer, press Audition Button and you're good to go! ALSO, you could fire the Audition to an external software sequencer if that's easier. Whatever works for ya. -Larry W. Or is the AUDITION just one of the ARP“s for da specific sounds?
