Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hi,
when i select the control function settings to be at "pan" and use 
the controller knobs for panning, it seems like it changes the pitch 
at the same time that it is panning.  Some channels pan normal while 
others seem like it is adding a vel/lfo or something.  Is this a bug 
on my machine or is it normal? I know i can also use the MIX option 
and pan with the dialer but i want to multi-pan with various channels.
