Workstation like with sequencer and stuff? or just the synth? For Trance Synths Novation Supernova has the warmest sounds ever :) Yamaha CS6X or CS6XR <- rack version where meant for trance. It has like 128 appregios. Most of them trancy. I have the CS2X and I battle myself to make a hard house track, cause I start with punchy beats, phat hoovery baseline; and as soon as I touch that keyboard, everything turns intro trance somehow... Like BXR kinda thing, you know. CS6X uses Yamaha's AWM2 (or something) Wave synth technology but you can expand it with a Analog board for Analog Synthesis if you still insist. Access Virus B is way phat too. If I had the money I would get myself the Novation Supernova. It does have like the highest specs in polyphony and LFOs and shit. But the Novations Supernova PRO X III is like $4000 ? But worthed. I was playing with the regular Novation supernova at GUitar center and it was priced to $2100. Another great synth around is the Waldorf Q. But I would pick the Micro Q for Happy Hardcore, Hard House, Techno; You know, Hard stuff. Don't even think into getting the ROland JP series cause they suck ass. Anything I have bought from Roland sucks ass. Maybe just the dr- 202 it's kinda cool... go to www.harmony-central.com and look at the synth reviews, or go to www.synthplanet.com and print out the specs of each synth, sit down with a cup of coffe and compare them. About Trancy Workstations Don't get MC Roland series cause they are toys and they suck ass. I have an RS7000 from Yamaha, and again it's difficult to me to get Hard House sounds out of it. Everything turns trance. But with the XL-7 the Hard stuff comes right easily :) Blessed Beats -Dave- --- In xl7@y..., scory5@q... wrote: > I currently produce trance music mostly with Reason software and > other soft synths and am looking to buy a hardware synth that has bad- > ass leads (good analog too), basses, strings, FX, and drums.
