I can't see any way of using the unit without covering it with sticky notes
and song notes on cards. I'll post some gear porn tonight :>, along with
sending those midi files to emu.

The limit is 32 bars. Thinking about it further, longer stuff would be
somewhat 'commiting' which would make it usable in less situations. The main
use I see for longer patterns/sequences etc. would be to create variations -
change the fills and ornamentation on each turnaround/chorus/verse/whatever.

Hmm. You can switch in and out of songs at the end of every pattern can't
you? rather than just waiting for them to end? Perhaps songs would be the
way to do this. I need to explore the function more.

Yes, the song section seems to be more for recording stuff you would do with
the Pattern section, rather than an extension of it for live use.

use you are refering to). The trigger buttons are just for instant sampler
gratification.

Yes, all you need. I'm playing mine with a chapman stick, loopers and a cd
player playing sounds I built at home. (And a bass drum on my back, and
cymbals on my knees, and a harmonica :>)
