Can't you make patterns of any length you want?  So this should work 
the way you're talking about...just working in pattern mode not in 
song mode...It's just I figure LIVE means LIVE...sure you're going 
to  keep the same basic structure for your song....but perhaps you 
want to extend the break a bit so you hold on that pattern for a bit 
longer before you go to the OUTRO for enxample....

Can you use these with the repeat function so live triggers can be 
quantized to the beat?

I have an ASR-X pro I was thinking about pairing this up 
with...sampling and excellent FX...should be a cool combo...
