I've looked at an exported SMF from E-loader, and don't see any sysex:
just program/bank changes, volume, pan, and controllers for arp
status.

Doesn't the XL-7 manual state that the pattern sequencer does *not* go
back to Tick 0 when it loops? A software sequencer will.
