Re: [xl7] Re: Pattern/Sound mismatches

Thanks, David and Tommy. Sorry, I wasn't specific enough; I'm saving the presets, but the user patterns don't load them up between sessions. I've tried saving the user patterns after loading the correct presets but it doesn't help.

From a recent reply by rEalm:

when a new pattern begins to play, the first thing (well, almost) it does is to send a program change message on all 32 channels loading up the correct presets you saved with the Pattern.

That's what I'm having trouble with; I always have to scroll around and load the right sounds with each pattern. My MIDI mapping remains intact but the presets do not.

Thanks!

Shawn,
It's easiest to assign channel 1A to track 1, channel 2A to track 2
etc... Then, save your preset to that track. You will have to save
the preset to a USER bank and not an XL-7 bank. You cannot save
tweeked presets to an XL-7 bank. Don't forget to save your user
pattern also. There are great notes posted on the FAQs in the files
section that should clarify.
