Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I think it's great!  I have had it since "99" and use it all of the 
time.  Your best bet though if the mp3 demos aren't what you're 
looking for is to go to your local music store that supports E-MU 
gear and demo the Orbit 3 module which has that ROM in it.  Then you 
can hear for yourself with the headphones and not the computer.  You 
will also (if the have a midi controller set up in front of the rack 
like most stores do)be able to play sounds as well without just 
hitting the audition button (which shows the sounds off anyway)
