I bought both the XL7 and MP7 for the different sounds more than anything. They are each unique. The presets, also separate the units. I don't care shit for the songs, I do my own. The MP7 is perfect for Breakbeat Techno in the nu-skool vein as to its drum and bass sounds. But that scene is just now getting more attention, the stuff in Orlando and Britain, with guys like Rennie Pilgrem and Plump DJ's, Or Icey, or Simply Jeff's Phonomental guys. I don't even use the MP7 for hip-hop. The sounds and the presets in the XL7 are hotter for melodic construction. I've added a World Sound expansion to the MP7 for more percussion textures and the Techno expansion to my XL7. I'll add the Orchestra ones soon. I'm more than happy with these units. > xl7@yahoogroups.com jiraicracher@...: Fri, 28 Sep 2001 01:46:38 -0000 >Reply-To: xl7@yahoogroups.com > [xl7] Re: really a Beat Generating Monster. > ><< msg1.html >> ------------------------------------------------------------ .
