Do you like to experiment when programming, or do you prefer to have a goal in mind that you try to program. Like for instance a certain progression, melody or rythm. The reason I ask is because I am don`t know much theory and I was curious how much theory others are applying. >>>I wish I had a simple answer for you, but in all honesty for me it's combination of experimentation, and knowing exactly what I'm after. I taught myself music theory up to a college 4 level (borrowed friends' books), and while I rarely conciously use that knowledge now, I'm sure it's stuck with me and plays a small factor even at a subconcious level. Typically I know what sound I want, and while trying to set up my arps to reflect that, I usually get side tracked and start experimenting along the way. I'm the same way when it comes to synthesis and making my own Presets. I start off with a goal and path in mind, but typically end up with somthing drastically different from that goal by the time I'm done. <<< P.S. By the the way realm, I dig all your tunes, keep it up! peace thru music >>>Brand new one just up http://rEalm.iuma.com "In The Spiral (2002 Mix)" <<< rEalm
