Make sure you upgrade the OS to version 1.31, then it's HOME + MIDI

Hey all, I've been watching this list for the last several
weeks, wondering which of these new E-mu products would best fit the
bill for me. At first I was looking at the Proteus 2500 and the
related yahoo group until somebody from this group posted on that
group that the topics were going to be about the same...

Well I switched over to this group and realized, for the same
price, I could have a unit with more features by buying the XL-7.
After ordering one, I then found out about the Proteus chip that was
being used by a few dealers to help sell the product. I lucked out
on that one, having chosen the right dealer in the first place.

Now with several days of XL-7 under my belt, (and several phone
calls to E-mu support), I'm beginning to get the hang of it.
However, I have found several ways to get notes stuck on. Most of
them are obvious no-no's, though once in a while I'll be doing
something I should be able to do and I'll get a note stuck on.

Is there any way to send an "all notes off" message? I don't
yet have a midi footboard, though I'll be getting one soon. I
suppose I could program it to do that, though I was wondering if it
were possible from the front panel.

     BTW, this thing fawking rawks!
