over all i'd give this track an 8/10. Add a vocal in there and i'd be an easy 9/10. >>>I'd love the chance to work with a singer, being able f*ck up vocals would be too much fun. Still, gotta wait for the right one... <<< What did you use for the core of this track? >>>I did the drums and mixing, as well as mastering a a few touch ups, my friend Norsez did the orchestration and instrumentation for the most part. The drums were all done in Reason, using my own samples and some of the included refill ones too. The sound effects and synth leads were from a Roland SH32, some of the other stuff was Korg Oasys, and VirusB I think. Bassline was Subtraktor in Reason, and the whole thing was arranged in Reason. Once he sent me the Reason file, I transferred it track by track (over 40 of them) into Cubase via rewire as 24 bit files. From there I redid the final mix, and added all my dynamics processing, mastering was done in Wavelab. I'd say 70% of this tune was done in Reason, the rest pulled in a ton of other elements, sadly no XL-7 this time around. My part of this was written before I owned one. I don't mind discussing production techniques, so if you've got more questions, fire away.<<< rEalm
