Let me chime in. First off, Certain dealers in the US and Europe have participated in a Command Station promo that involved the "Proteus ROM". Most of them (dealers) have used the ROM as a promotional tool / bundle with xx-7's. The Mystery "Proteus ROM" is in fact the same ROM that's found in a Pk6 keyboard. There are 5 banks of presets, the first 4 are identical to the P2500 and the 5th bank contains new presets, including additional Beats presets. This ROM, Probably tilted "Proteus POP Collection" when released, will be productized in July, exclusively for xx-7, XK-6 and MK-6 owners. Note. The PPC has been designed for the xx-7's 16 knob preset editing layout. The P2K's ROM, or also known as the Composer ROM was designed around P2K's 12 knob preset editing layout. As xx-7 owners, we were convinced that you would want to receive the PPC ROM. Answer for your next question. Why July, and not now? Simple, inventory control and planned revenue flow. Once a date has been planned/created to ship product, it's real hard to bring the schedule in. The ROMS that some users have received do not come with any fancy packaging. sean at e-mu / ensoniq payntaraspen wrote: > > I was confused too when I got it, and totally psyched !! > > The sticker on the ROM says P-2000, the coupon from EMU said Proteus > 2000 (free with purchase, sorry). > > But as I cross-checked (emu.com) the 5 Banks of presets, they are > identical to the 2500 set, not the 2000's (7?) banks of presets. > > Also, it was my understanding that the jam presets were absent from > teh P2000 presets.
