But we decided to go with the next generation Motorola ColdFire for many reasons. First and most importantly, any time a new generation processor becomes available we like to use it in new products. Its always better to have extra power (feature creep security) and it keeps are platforms up to date. Also, your right it is more power hungry because you are running a P2K and a Full Blown sequencer at the same time. We all want Sequencers to be tight, right? So going with the faster processor made since. This new Processor runs 2x faster that the P2K ( the P2K processor in the imbedded world is no slouch). We also have a separate processor running the front panel and keyboard. One very clear enhancement the new processor has brought has been a cleaner, tighter sound to the XL and MP-7. sean how do their Operating Systems fair. > Also the new presets on the XL-7 are they available as download and > useable > on a Proteus xl-1. > thanks > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Aaron Eppolito" <aarone+xl7@...> > To: <xl7@yahoogroups.com> > Sent: Thursday, September 20, 2001 9:59 PM > Subject: Re: [xl7] [XL-7] or Proteus 2000 > > > Yes.
