The bass sounds I can make are thick, floor ripping madness that is still dynamic and expressive. The drums are expressive with a lot of range and punch. This is a rare and beautifull thing. I can understand how a poor listening system would hurt everything I like about the sound. There is real music there, not just noise compressed into rhytmic thumping. The effects do not have the same feel to me. Perhaps I am setting them up wrong. To me the effects are always clean, accurate and but lack the characteristics that make things sound the way I want. They will add some air to things but I have not been able to bend them to my will.... yet. If the effects were as good and intuitive as the synth engine I might loose all control. For now, I use the flexible outputs to good use with outboard processing.
