Sound fine to me. Actually that's what Multi's are for, so you're using them correctly.
rEalm
1. Turn on the XL-7 and load one of my multi's
2. Change some of the channel/preset assignments
3. Save my multi.
4. Sequence some beats using my PC, and they all come out correct.
5. Save again for good measure.
6. Turn off the XL-7, and then turn back on.
7. Play my sequence off my PC
8. The beats are now playing the wrong drum sounds
9. Restore my Multi from the Global menu
10. Play the sequence again and all is fine. So, is this what should be happening or not?? Is it because when i start up the box it always goes to Song 000 and therefore loads the correct multi setup for that song??? It's annoying because i never really use the sequencer stuff on the XL-7, i just use it mainly as a sound module, so i'm only interested in the multi setups and not the song stuff.

ok,
so what is the relation of multi's to songs? What i want is to turn the
box on with the last multi i used in place. So, if i load a multi, does
the box then assign that multi to the current song? So when the box turns
on it loads the multi for song 000?
Ok,
so what i need to do is load the multi i want, then save the SONG at posiiton
000. Then when i start up the box, it will initialise with song 000 and
load the multi that i saved with that song???
I
think what was confusing me was i was treating multi's as being completely
unlinked to songs.
