Thanks all for the info, and to Steve for the photos.

I think I'm going to conclude that the CS and P2500 units *are* the 
same, and that since I have quite enough rack mounted gear already I'm 
going to hold out for a reasonably priced CS to appear on the market.

I quite like the idea of having a standalone unit with pads that I can 
mess with on its own.
