Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

According to these two pages:

the P2500 apparently has higher resolution DACs and faster MIDI 
processing than a P2000 but the XL-7 page makes no mention of this.

My understanding though is that the XL-7 (and other command stations) 
use the same main board as the P2500.

I was minded to try to get hold of a Command Station (since you guys 
want to do sequence backups and stuff which I think I could add to my 
emu.tools site) but then a friend pointed out the above and said he'd 
pick the P2500 because of its supposed advantages.

Does anyone here know the truth of it?
