TEST 1:
Using 008^4 on XROM bts:Hard Anthem, I recorded the 4 measure riff [BTS-Hard Anthem] (at least it sounds like 4 measures to me) to a 32 measure pattern slot (I used 127^ because it had been empty [12% memory available].
All midi data from the riff --> track 1.
I used the midi out to midi in approach.
I used realtime record mode, set to start recording as soon as I pressed Audition--CntIn:[quarter note symbol].
Tried it again with a different riff. It seems like the first note wan't recorded. Tried some other techniques, but my audition button is a bit wonky, so I had to do multiple takes and never really nailed it. Also tried starting the pattern recording and then hitting audition at the right spot. If your button fires immediately with not jitter or shut off and your timing is perfect to might have better luck than I did.
