Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hi all,
         take away the XL-7's onboard sequencer is there any difference
between the XL-7 and the Proteus fitted with a XL-1 ROM card?

As far the Synthesizer goes, they are practically identical.

The differences other than the sequencer are:

The Xl-7 has;
a faster processor that provides better MIDI timing and a cleaner,
crisper sound.
More Knobs for Quick edit. Also, the knobs can be used to control 16
MIDI channels of volume and  Pan while in Volume Mode and Pan Mode.
Finally, there is a Programmable Mode for the knobs as well. You define
the MIDI channel (A or B,  infernal, external or both) and Controller
for each knob.

Quick Page jumps for Preset edit, translation - better and quicker navigation.

Light connector

There's probably other things, but this what I can remember for now.
