the flash ROM on the XL7 is an older type of single level cell flash
memory, so you’re looking at tens of thousands of writes for each cell. I doubt
that it has write balancing, though.

I had one go bad and eprelectronics had to replace the main board :/ although they gave me a core charge for the old one so I saved some money that way.
