Yes and no.  (NO first)If your trigger buttons are unlatched, the BTS 
sequencer will stop running as soon as you lift the note on key(s).  
If the triggers are latched then 1 press turns the part on (note ON)
and the next press turns the part off(note OFF).  There are 16 parts 
that can be triggered individually.

You have to have the parameter "use current tempo" enabled or else it 
will use the BTS riff tempo which will not sync with your stuff 
unless it happens to be the same bpm.

You can if you apply the proper note ON/OFF messages for parts needed 
throughout your song and the "use current tempo" is set correctly.
