I am confused about some things you said. It sounds like you upgraded to OS2.0, but you are having trouble uploading the patterns/sequences using e-loader. Yet you say it would be amazing to have XMIX. Are you saying that you have XMIX by virtue of having installed OS2.0 successfully and that it would be amazing to try it out on the factory demo patterns?

Assuming you have OS2.0 success fully installed, to figure out why you cannot upload/download patterns/sequences, it would be helpful to have more info--especially things like:

(1) Do the correct ports show up in the midi setup?
(2) Does e-loader report that it found your E-Mu?
(3) Does the pattern browser in e-loader successfully get the names of patterns/songs?
(4) Can you receive patterns from your E-Mu sequencer and store them on your computer?
(5) If yes, can you successfully transmit it back to your E-Mu?
(6) Do you get any error and/or console messages (e-loader)?
(7) If so, what are they? (Screen shots sometimes help.)

Also, check to make sure your sysex ID = 000.

I hope this gets you started diagnosing the problem (although you may have done some of this already). Maybe other user have some constructive suggestions.
