I'll do some research 1st, but yeah, this might be a job for a repair technician. Sounds simple, but I'd be pissed if I fried my unit.
Would there be any other symptoms of a failing power suplly you're aware of? Low volume from outputs or headphone, etc.?
And I'm not recognizing your picture of the PSU. Is it in the Photostream, Albums or Photomatic section?
Any chance you know the model number or anything else that would help me locate a replacement power supply?
If they're cheap, it might be easier, cheaper & safer to just replace it. If it's not the problem, I'd have a back up for when I needed it.
