I am wondering if you are talking about multitrack recording or multichannel recording. For each track you can record up to 16 midi channels at once. I never used the explode feature, but I am wondering if that will enable you to take a single multichannel track and "explode" it onto up to 16 different tracks, with each track having one channel. It sounds to me like that might be your goal.
Does anyone here use the explode feature? If not, maybe I can play with it on the weekend.
