RE: [xl7] korg es1

2002-04-04 by Andre Lewis

I'm about to go pick up my second one today! Heheh I have a Roland SP808, which
I originally sold the ES1 for. The SP808 is great, CD quality and professional
editing environment. I had an ER1 so I wasn't worried about it. I'm picking it
up again because it has a better sequencer than the ER1 and it's perfect for
programming the XL-7. As far as sample quality, it uses 1/8th inch headphone
jack style inputs, is kinda dodgy to edit loops, and only does 38khz sampling.
The timestretch on it is totally a pain in the ass. I've since picked up a
Yamaha A5000 which makes my SP808 redundant, so I'll probably sell that. Let me
know if you want to buy it, I have the digital I/O for it and I'm planning on
selling it for about 500$.

Sorry if it's a bit off topic , but I'll like to know what users think
about the Korg ES1 ..is it better than the Boss sp303 to play samples
with our Xl7 ?
