Re: lfo as a source in preset patchcords?

2013-07-19 by steve_the_composer

Yeah--the preset patchcords (global) have different sources and destinations from the layer-based patchcords, and sometimes you want to do things that would go from one to the other (such as a layer-level lfo to a global-level arpeggator).

I was going to look around for a workaround, but based on what Bruno says, it doesn't look possible.

I will probably carve out some time to explore it anyway. If I find another workaround that comes close, I will share it here.

I have presets which using arpeggiators to create bass patterns and modulating speed of arpeggiator to create interesting variations. I wish to modulate the speed of the arpeggiator automatically without using real time controllers to automate bassline variations. I was hoping to set an lfo to sync 4 or 8 bars on s&h and then send that to arp extension or arp speed.
