Yeah--the preset patchcords (global) have different sources and destinations from the layer-based patchcords, and sometimes you want to do things that would go from one to the other (such as a layer-level lfo to a global-level arpeggator). I was going to look around for a workaround, but based on what Bruno says, it doesn't look possible. I will probably carve out some time to explore it anyway. If I find another workaround that comes close, I will share it here. ____________ _________ _________ __ From: Matt <somatt@gmail. com> To: xl7@yahoogroups. com Sent: Thursday, July 18, 2013 5:53 PM Subject: Re: [xl7] lfo as a source in preset patchcords? I have presets which using arpeggiators to create bass patterns and modulating speed of arpeggiator to create interesting variations. I wish to modulate the speed of the arpeggiator automatically without using real time controllers to automate bassline variations. I was hoping to set an lfo to sync 4 or 8 bars on s&h and then send that to arp extension or arp speed. --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, Bruno <brunorc@...> wrote: > > It's a bummer, but seems like you cannot do it.
