Hi, Rob, you will like it in Asturias. I have been there about 15 years ago working there as a geographer with the tourism authorities on the turismo rural project. They call this part of spain la pequena suiza (little switzerland) - in fact it looks like a mixture between ireland and switzerland because of the mountains near the coast. It rains quite often though. If it does its the best thing to cross the mountains to the south and visit towns like Burgos, Valladolid, or go down to Salamanca.
