Re: New E-mu MP7 Owner "loading OS" blues

2013-03-20 by intrepidpete

I seem to recall my Command Station (CS) hanging after doing the OS upgrade via eLoader, but then when I tried it a 2nd time, it worked just fine. Make sure you test midi connection between PC and CS first (send sysex or mid sequence or something) so you know connection is good before doing OS upgrade. Also follow the instructions in manual step-by-step, because I seem to recall it being pretty specific about when you press buttons on CS and when you do something in eLoader software.

I may be mixing up my gear here, but one of my units can send sysex patches and sequences via USB midi, but needs true 5-pin midi cable (midi interface on PC) for OS upgrade, so make sure you are not using USB midi.
