No, I'm not disappointed, while I must say that 90% of the sounds aren't terribly useful, and seem like they've put them in just to fill up the available banks, the remaining 10% are really nice and on their own warrant the ROM. In general, I find the upside of the E-Mu ROMs is that the acoustic sounds really have an acoustic feel to them; the downside is that while there are a large number of acoustic drums, there are few electronic sets, mainly focusing on 808 and 909 style drums. The Protean Drums ROM has some Emulator II drum sounds which are nice, but the majority of drum sounds are still in the acoustic domain. While I know I can change the knob assignments, it is a bit of a chore once than more than a couple of patches are involved, and I am still curious as to how the Pop Collection ROM compares to the Composer ROM in terms of patches. /Ricard
