Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

You cannot put external audio through the synth engine or FX chips. There are a lot of us folks who wish you could. Sorry.

If you can find an E-Mu Ultra sampler with the RFX-32 option, you could do it.  An E5000 Ultra with the RFX-32 went for $400 (US) a week or two ago. They are rare, but they do pop up.
