Just a footnote: I have heard of people who have gotten the Unitor drivers/software (for eMagic midi interfaces) to work on post-Win98 PCs. However, I have not been able to get them to work with eMagic's MT-4 on either XP or Win7. I am guessing it would probably still work on a Win98. If someone were to invest $50 (or more) in an eMagic interface, I recommend making sure there is a refund option in case it doesn't meet your needs. My $10 Amazon USB midi interface would not work. I got a $50 M-Audio Midisport, and now E-Loader works. Since I use an old Win98 laptop in my midi chain to run old DOS based midi sysex and librarian software and do stuff with floppy disks, I chose the Midisport, since you can still download Win98 drivers for it. > > For 50$ (or a bit more) it should be possible to get second-hand > eMagic AMT-8 (or AMT-4).
