Gary- Well, you kind of lost me on that description. But, then, it has been a while. In '72 I had a big Arp modular system, a 2600, even an Arp "Soloist" which I heavily modified. Add an Echoplex, mixer and some guitar distortion pedals and you've got the seeds for techno. The sequencer was the Arp 10-step/3-bank module. Sometimes I used a sample and hold module to pick notes from a rapidly spinning sequence output to randomize the note order while controlling the actual pitch sets. Hey, we veterans of the synth revolution have the luxury of watching all this stuff evolve and get twisted into new forms. Fabulous. Anyone who's interested can try to find my first solo album "Cosmic Furnace" on Atlantic Records from 1973.
