Re: Save/copy button doesn't seem to work. Am I screwed? SOLVED

I finally figured it out. This could also work for anyone else that gets some completely broken hardware buttons on a command station.

I used a little app from Bome's to send midi sysex messages to the MP7. Basically putting it into remote control mode, initiating a remote press of the save/copy button, and another sysex command taking it out of remote mode. All I have to do is just open the script and hit send and I CAN NOW SAVE MY PATTERNS!!!

I guess I could also use Ableton Live (along with ClyphX) and assign the sysex script to a key on a midi controller or the MP7 itself. The highest key on the keyboard or the touchstrip for instance.

Here's a link to the app:
http://www.bome.com/products/sendsx/downloads

Here's the sysex command:
F0 18 0F 00 55 40 10 F7
F0 18 0F 00 55 40 20 10 00 01 F7
F0 18 0F 00 55 40 11 F7

No dice...it still doesn't respond at all. I guess I could get a new front panel board from from EPR, but it costs more than what I paid for the unit.
