Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Wow, it has been a while since I have been back in the fold with my fellow command station brethren.

Brothers, I need help!

My Mp-7 has gone the way of the dog by burning out a resistor (mini-IC) just below the power button/headphone board connector on the motherboard. (It is labeled L7, I think) 
If there is a temporary fix please let me know but, I really need a copy of the service manual. Why? I plan on swapping out a new motherboard, but I want to keep my sequences and patterns from my old machine if possible. There is a removable IC in the middle right-side of the motherboard that I believe contains that info. Maybe you guys can give me some insight.

Has anyone ever done this swap? Any advice, tips, tricks, or docs to assist me?
