Hmmmmmm. Under controllers, the footswitch jacks on the P2500 (and I assume the command stations) can be set to Preset+ and Preset-. Lemme see if that can be used to transmit a patch change to external gear. I tried all combinations I could think of and I could not get a foot pedal plugged into footswitch jack 1 to send a patch change externally--just internally.
