I'm trying to get my head around using the CS sub outs.
I'd like to be able to track individual voices out of them.
1. Do you assign to output on the channel or on the track?
2. Can you hard pan on the channel (or somewhere?) so you can send two mono signals out from the same sub? In other words, use the stereo sub for two discrete monos and a total of 4 (2 subs times 2 channels) mono outputs distinct from the main out?
3. It says to use stereo/ balanced/ trs jacks to use the subs like inserts for external gear, so the ring can return to the main mix outputs. If you are using an audio interface with balanced inputs, if
you ran a balanced cable out of the CS and into the audio interface (as opposed to an unbalanced one), would that cause any problems due to the ring returning?
Any other tips about using the subs for direct outs would be appreciated. I have the manual and have been reading it, but the info in little pieces all over the place. Hard to get a clear overview.
Thanks.
