I didn't step through Nathan's steps, but I assume they are correct. If that is indeed the solution you are looking for, I recommend placing a template pattern at 000^0 that is set up with all 16 tracks (if that's what you want) set to ext for each track's CHANNEL ASSIGN parameter. Please note: in order to preserve the external assignment, you need to have some data on each track. If you don't when you save the pattern each track without data will return to the default channel assignment. My basic template [000^0 All Ext] has a CC # 7 at v:127 placed at 001.01.001 for each track, but you can use any data. I also have a template called 16 Tracks->MultiB. This has CC # 7 at v:127 with each track assigned to MultiB [midi out port B]. 000^0 All Ext assigns each sequencer track to the respective midi channel on midi out port A [T1 is assigned to C01A . . . T16 to C16A]. Hope this helps. Steve
