Hi - If E-loader wants to be a "friend" only with Windows XP -so there are some ways to solve this problem.You don,t have to uninstall vista and install xp. 
For the first - you can install XP operating system on another hardrive than Vista.And in another way, you can mount a so-called "virtual machine" on your pc in vista operating system.
"Virtual PC" or "VMware virtual machine" or the same software solution(install it in your Vista- but your have to find a compstible version with Vista) - then install XP operating system in this virtual machine, then you can install E-loader in it.
It will take some time to do all the operations on installing virtual machine and then installing operation system XP on it, but may be this will help you?
