Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

While it's not necessarily your issue, the xx7 power supplies have crappy electrolytics and are failure-prone.  Recapping is not that hard (getting the power supply out of its little cage is probably harder); however, I've not, up to this point, seen a funky power supply cause the machine to stop working like that--usually there are weird behaviors before complete failure.
