Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Intuitively, I thought, "No," but I wanted to test it to be sure.  I routed an XL-1 sysex dump to the P2500 with midi merge on (both A and B). Only the incoming led lit; the outgoing led remained off.

Notes and CCs do get retransmitted. My best recollection is that midi clock does not get retransmitted. This is the first time I ever tried to echo sysex data.

I do know that you can embed sysex data into a pattern and transmit it externally. Not sure if that would meet your needs or not.

Hmmmm. I wonder if the sequencer will record sysedx on the fly and echo it to a track assigned to external gear. Nope. It doesn't record sysex on the fly.

Maybe someone else has a method to make it happen.
