Removing the roms actually made the unit more stable too. Go totally commando and don't use any.

i forgot to add that it did the same thing to me with internal tracks also. i saved a few notes played on tracks 1 and 2 with internal presets and when i reloaded the pattern the note data was there but the presets were switched back to the originals.
i was messing with multisetups recently so maybe there is a global setting i changed? is it possible the machine would behave like this because of a bad psu or something mechanical?
