Here's the link to the thread that goes with the preset, in case anyone missed it: http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/xl7/message/21333 Even if you are not really interested in sine kicks, the threat contains some very useful ideas for developing your own sound design templates. The factory conventions for the different ROMS and boxes are IMO quite good and can sustain musical interest for years. However, there is still so much relatively untapped potential in the design of E-Mu legacy gear. Developing templates for classes of presets as was done here definitely taps into that potential. Hmmmm, the 4 x 4 knobs come off fairly easily. Hmmmm, it might be possible to design and make laminated covers with holes for the knob mounts and leds to have custom labels. Has anyone here done anything like that? Steve --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "stimresp" <stimresp@...> wrote: > > > Hi, > > As Steve points-out, the preset layers have no samples assigned. That's how the preset was designed. It is really a template. I know there are several versions of the composer ROM. Maybe the pop presets are the ones from the keyboard version, but I am not sure. > > > > Hope this helps. > > > > Steve > > >
