Yes, it does clarify things a bit. I will try again later. Question, if it does
not play in the bank I loaded in how do I erase or remove it?

I appreciate it steve.

Subject: [xl7] Re: New Member Question about e-loader

Hi. I have been busy lately and have not had a chance to fire up my e-loader 1.1
to try to see whats going on there.

As for the factory demo songs and patterns, if you have the P2500 ROM installed,
the P2500 patterns should work. If you load them to the pattern bank 0, the
songs should also work, because (if I remember correctly), the songs >>point
to<< the >>patterns<< in pattern bank 0.

With the P2500 ROM, you might be interested in the 8 banks of the P2K Composer
ROM which were converted to work with the P2500 (or a CS with the P2500 ROM). I
believe they are in the files section.

Yes, without the specific ROM for which the presets are designed, they will not
make any sound. That's because the presets (aka patches) point to ROM samples
(or multisamples) in specific ROMS. (E-Mu calls these ROM instuments.)

The CS should have space for 4 ROMS.

I hope this helps clarify things.
